Marianne Susi Przybylski (Kramer)
July 7, 1934 - March 11, 2026
Tribute
Marianne Susi Przybylski passed into the presence of her Saviour on March 11, 2026. She was born in Königsberg, Prussia on July 6, 1934, the third oldest of 7 children born to Paul and Susanna Kramer. Following the second world war, the family emigrated from Germany to Canada in 1951. They settled in Winnipeg, where Marianne met her future husband, Paul, who was also a European immigrant. Paul headed to northern BC to work at the aluminum smelter under construction in the brand-new community of Kitimat. Paul and Marianne were engaged in 1954, and Marianne bought a one-way ticket to Kitimat and arrived on April 29, 1955. They were married the same day.
Marianne worked several different jobs in Kitimat and raised a family of 5 children. The family enjoyed a variety of outdoor activities and appreciated eating the results of many fishing and hunting trips. During their retirement, Marianne and Paul moved to Abbotsford. They were very involved in church and enjoyed singing in the seniors’ choir. Paul passed away in 2013. Marianne continued her involvement in church and in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives. She was very skilled in needle arts, creating numerous cross-stitch and knitting projects. Creativity was a hallmark of hers, producing many scrapbooked photo albums and sharing these as gifts. Marianne loved to laugh and enjoyed the arrival of her 2 great-grandsons. Marianne spent the last portion of her life at Menno Hospital. We are grateful for the kind and caring staff who ministered to her there.
Marianne is survived by her children Susan (Rick), Doris, Robert (Damaris), Martin (Corinne) and Dennis (Carolyn), as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Botho, Joachim and John, as well as other extended family.
In Mom’s own words, “Two verses stand out for me, in Philippians 4:6-7 we read: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus”. I think this is a special peace that God gives us when we need it the most”.
We will miss her and her fascinating stories. Celebration of life will be held in a few months.

My sincere condolences to the family. I knew your family as I went to school with Doris and attended “The Good News Club” at your home on Pintail Street in Kitimat. .Rip Mrs. Przybylski.
From: Botho Eberhard Kramer
Relation: I was one of her younger Brothers, born a few years later.
Marianne was my only Sister growing up in Germany after the war times and she had a special place in my Heart. One of the many Bible Verses really reflected Her Faith: “As Water reflects a Face, so a Persons Heart reflects the Person” Proverbs 27, 19 Coming from a large Family, there were seven of us, 6 boys and 1 Sister. Nanne, as she was called by the family, you are with the Lord Jesus now, who has prepared a place just for you !! One of her special verses was also mine “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of GOD in Christ Jesus for you.” I will see you again in Heaven with Jesus. I miss you already. Botho

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. Our families share many memories from the First Baptist Church in Kitimat. I remember the twinkle in your mom’s eyes and can picture her at home in the kitchen efficiently serving us meals on a lazy Susan. I can picture her at Sunday School and girls club volunteering. In later years my mom would sometimes share stories of the old days including your fond memories of your mom.

Relation: Sister in law
Our hope is based not only on a heavenly reunion but on those profound memories that live on. In 2006 our sister in law Marianne sent us the most intricate cross stitched card of an angel. It became one of our cherished annual Christmas decorations and will now be prominently displayed year round. In some ways we live and die by our memories.
God Bless!
