Mary Catherine Stolk (Malsbury)

February 6, 1933 - January 21, 2022


Mary passed away peacefully in Abbotsford, B.C. on January 21, 2022. She was born in Fernie, B.C. and lived for many years in Richmond, B.C where she raised her family. Mary was proud to be a registered nurse from the class of 1955 St. Paul’s Hospital School of Nursing. She was an active and caring woman with many interests and talents. Mary helped with many political and social causes throughout her life, was a talented writer, animal lover and avid gardener.  Mary was predeceased by her parents Thomas and Mary Malsbury and brother John Malsbury. Mary is survived by, and lovingly remembered by, her husband of 66 years, Carl, her children Leo (Shantelle), Elizabeth (Colin), Theresa (George), Paul (Gina), David (Barb), and Mitchel (Robin), numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as siblings Dorothy and Patricia (Bill). There will be no service by Mary’s request. A family gathering will be arranged to celebrate Mary’s life when it is safe to do so.
