Mike Keryluik

March 14, 1931 - February 23, 2021

Tribute

Mike Keryluik was born March 14th, 1931 to parents Anne and Mike Keryluik of Vegreville, AB.  The family lived in this farming area until relocating to Vernon, BC due to work opportunities and their growing family.

Mike and his brothers were avid athletes. Mike, being an exceptional hockey goalie as a teen, enjoyed an opportunity with Trail Smoke Eaters in 1948, followed by travel and adventure.  The 1950’s led Mike to Prince George, BC to work with his brother where Mike met his wife-to-be, Jane Mikolayczyk. A family soon arrived with daughters Sharon and Karen, and sons Gerald (Gerry) and Michael.

Mike worked in train service as a conductor with Canadian National Railway for 33 years, and he was employee regional representative with the United Transportation Union until he retired. Mike and Jane were snowbirds post-retirement, later making Abbotsford their home.

Mike is pre-deceased by his wife Jane and daughter Karen. Mike’s lineage continues on through his children Sharon (Phil), Gerry (Peggy), and Michael (Jennifer), his grandchildren Ira, Judah, Jerod, Amy, Hannah, Sarah, Jenny and his great grandchildren Cadence, Addison, Virgil, Alexis, Colton and Jax.
