Neil Allan Muxlow
May 12, 1952 - March 14, 2026
Tribute
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Neil Allan Muxlow, who left us on March 14, 2026, at age of 73. Neil passed away at his home in Chilliwack, BC surrounded by the memories of a life lived exactly as he intended: on his own terms and full of laughter.
Born in Gladmar, Saskatchewan, Neil moved to Chilliwack with his family at the age of five, He was the fourth of seven children born to Rich and Kay Muxlow. Farming wasn’t just a job for Neil; it was in his blood. He dedicated his working life to dairy farming, more importantly progressive farming in an effort to always be doing better and growing the farm. He took great pride in the hard work and also enjoyed the business of farming.
Neil was a promoter of family and friends, his circle was always large and he was truly interested in each and everyone of them. Neil is survived by his devoted wife Michelle; his sons Kevin (Serina) and Colin (Tamara), and their mother Jo-Ann; and his step daughter Beverly (Alex). He was the proudest “Grandpa” to Grace, Spencer, Fraser, Preston, Porter, MacLean, Logan and Lynsey. They were truly the lights of his life. Whether he was cheering from the sidelines of a hockey rink, a basketball court or a Rugby field, Neil was their biggest fan.
Neil knew how to work hard, but he knew how to live even better, He was a man of many passions and a competitor-from the grit of team roping to the greens of the golf course, the freedom of his motorcycle, and the thrill of travel he lived life to the fullest. He cherished his second home in Arizona, where he enjoyed a “second life” filled with sunshine and a multitude of dear friends. Neil was a legendary storyteller; he possessed a quick wit and a classic sense of humor. Often reminding those around him that one should “never” let the truth get in the way of a good story”.
Neil was predeceased by his parents, Rich and Kay; his brother Ivan and his nephew Timmy. He leaves behind his siblings: Stuart (Linda), Kathy (Harry), Glen (Julie), Hal, Harvey (Susie), and sister in-law Maggie, along with his many beloved nieces and nephews, and many life long friends.
“ He lived his life to the fullest, full of love, happiness, and fun, He will be deeply missed
and forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him”.

You lived an example of what a Dad and Grandpa should be. We will live that example ourselves so that what you showed us will live forever through generations. I love you Dad.

To the entire Muxlow Clan,
Doug and I would like to extend our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved Neil. Although we did not know him very well, we knew what kind of man he was. Amazing 💖 The epitome of living life to the fullest while always extending a warm hand shake & greeting. We met Neil and Michelle at the golf course and had some opportunities to golf together & enjoy social time in the lounge. Neil also invited us over one day and loaded us up with a ton of halibut. Every meal we had we discussed him and his generosity.
I know that Neil will sorely be missed by so many people. Please take comfort in your memories and know that he is always in your heart. Continue to share his “truthful” stories forever.
Lots of love,
Doug & Deena Mirva

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of our dear Neil.💔 My heart aches for you, Michelle and the family.
“Neo” was one of a kind. Every time I think of him I hear that unforgettable laugh. I will carry that with me forever. Both of you always had such a beautiful way of making me feel like family, always including me and showing a genuine interest in my life. Neil didn’t just ask how you are…he truly cared to hear your answer. I will miss him more than words can say. You know that I will always be here for you for whatever you may need.
All of my love and deepest sympathies to you, Michelle, and the family. ❤️❤️

Neil and Michelle fought a courageous battle against kidney disease. Their journey like so many others was filled with hope and disappointment. I admire their determination and commitment to each other and their courage in facing so many challenges. Neil will be dearly missed. My heartfelt condolences and prayers to all his family and friends and a special hug for Michelle. Please sign your organ donor card if you can. You can save a life.

It’s impossible to condense into a few words how big Neil’s life was. Gigantic personality, loving husband and father. Not to mention a huge social circle because it was so fun spending time with him. Neil’s energy, love and big personality filled up any room he walked into and I feel blessed I was one of his many friends. He will be greatly missed💔
