Nonie Jensen (Marsden)

January 26, 1930 - September 18, 2016

Tribute

Nonie passed away peacefully September 18, 2016 at the age of 86 years.  A beautiful, loving, giving lady has left us.  She will be missed in our hearts and we are so grateful that we had her in our lives.  Nonie was born in Vancouver on January 26, 1930.  While growing up she was involved in activities such as sailing and skiing and spent time travelling through Europe in her twenties.  In 1962 she met Egon Jensen in Abbotsford and soon became countrified.  Nonie and Egon were blessed with three children: Ryan (Barb), Mark (Laureen) and Lisa and five grandsons, three granddaughters and one great grandson.  She loved to plan and execute travels to many places including Mexico, Alaska, New Zealand, Australia and across Canada.  During the winter months in Arizona, stained glass took up some time as did a lot of square dancing.  After moving in to Crown Point Villas she became involved in the social life of that little community of great people. The family requests that a donation to the Cancer Society be made in lieu of flowers.  We Love you Mom.

So sorry to read of Nonie’s passing. We all loved getting to know her at The Cultus lake golf club there were many good times there. Bless you all

From: Dianne King
Relation: Daughter of Wilf De La Mare

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Nonie’s family I wanted to express my heartfelt thoughts on her passing. As the daughter of Wilf De La Mare & his wonderful companion, Irene Jenkins, I had the opportunity to meet with Nonie on several occasions and was impressed with her cheery disposition and selfless manner. Irene spoke of their friendship often and their many good times together. I am truly sorry for your loss but know that you all will benefit from the loving and giving nature that she instilled in your lives. Losing a loved one is difficult but ultimately shouldn’t be viewed as a “loss” for all that we have truly gained from having this person so positively influence our lives. My thoughts our with you, the family, at this difficult time. Dianne King
