Ona is remembered as a kind, gentle, loving and compassionate woman who loved the Lord and her family.  She will be dearly missed by all.  A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, July 12 at 2:00 PM at Sevenoaks Alliance Church in Abbotsford, BC.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Samaritans Purse, or the Mennonite Central Committee.

Wiebe and Jeske Funeral Home Staff send our condolences to family and friends.

From: Joanne Derewianchuk Hildebrand
Relation: Family friend - since 1958

Reading the obituary in the Abbotsford News brought memories from long ago … The Ziesman and Derewianchuk families attending Emerson Baptist Church, Mrs. Z singing in the choir (alto?) with my Mom and being a Mission Band leader, the birth of David Z and my sister Jacquie in the same month, Ginny and my sister Connie chatting endlessly! We shared many fine meals and enjoyed warm hospitality at your home – especially in the ‘new’ large house! The passing of a dear Mom is truly a loss for a family – my Mom, Sara, died in January 2011. May your faith and happy memories of Ona’s love and generosity help to carry you through the most difficult moments. With sincere condolences and prayers for you all, Joanne Derewianchuk Hildebrand
