Tribute
On Friday, March 16, 2018, Patricia (Pat) Routley passed away peacefully in Jesus after a short battle with cancer. Pat is survived by her children, Lisa (Arlo), Barbara (Craig), and Dan (Bonnie), seven grandchildren (Reena, Anita, Melanie, Jeff, Jordan, Clayton and Erin) and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Russel, in 2009. Pat grew up near Duncan, BC, marrying Russ in 1953. In the early years of their marriage, Pat and Russ lived across Canada while both served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Later, they lived in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, and Saanich, Williams Lake, and Abbotsford, BC.
The family will celebrate Pat’s life on Sunday, May 20, at 2:00 pm at the Abbotsford Seventh-day Adventist Church. All are welcome to attend, with light luncheon to follow immediately after the service.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the wonderful staff at the ARHCC Palliative and Complex Care Unit in Abbotsford and at the Christine Morrison Hospice in Mission. Special thanks as well to Dr. Sandeep Basanti, Dr. Rommel Dahiroc, and Dr. Steve Mitchinson.

To “Mrs. Routley’s” Family…..I would just like to say to Lisa, Barb, Dan and their families how sorry I am on the loss of their wonderful Mom and her nice laugh. I have many nice memories of her in Williams Lake and then a few in Abbotsford. Even my Mom, Elsie, would ask how Pat Routley was doing on a regular basis when she was well. When I passed on the information that she had passed away, she thought for a minute and then acknowledged she remembered her well. She also passes on her sympathy. We have the hope that the next thing we will hear is Jesus coming and we will meet Him in the air, and to be together forever with family and friends in Heaven! That sounds almost unbelievable and too good to be true to us, except that’s what His Word promises. Let us keep looking up!
