Tribute
Paul Waldemar Friesen passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Chilliwack General Hospital on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the age of 85. Paul is survived by his loving wife Ruth of almost 55 years, his children Julia (Wes) Hiebert, Reg (Kim) Friesen and Patricia (Alan) Martens; grandchildren Randal, Kaileen, Jessica, Jordan, Matthew, Aaron, Emily, Brett and Taylor.
Paul was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan and enjoyed farm life with his brothers and sisters. On April 15, 1963 Paul married the love of his life Ruth Harder and together they raised their three children on the family farm. In 1974 they moved to the Fraser Valley and settled in Chilliwack. Paul worked in the rental industry where he could use his skills and experience from the farm. Paul retired in 1996 and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, camping, and traveling. He loved to watch any sport, golf, carpet bowl, play horseshoes, board games (especially Scrabble) and tinker in the shop. He always enjoyed serving in his local church as a way of expressing his faith in Christ.

We would like to express our appreciation to the staff at Cascade Assisted Living, Valleyhaven and Chilliwack General Hospital for the great care provided to Paul over the last several years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chilliwack Alliance Church April 17, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
