Peter William Picton
July 9, 1928 - January 17, 2020
Tribute
After a life fully lived Peter passed away on January 17th, leaving behind his beloved wife Ollie, his daughters Penny, Cynthia (Daniel) Berge and Candice (Craig) Henderson, his granddaughters Sofie and Ali Henderson, and his sisters Connie and Sharon (Bernie) Cenal. He was predeceased by his brothers Allen (Pauline), George (Agnes), sister Shirley, and parents Mary & Andrew.
Peter and his brother George owned and operated the Chilliwack Big O Tire dealership from 1984 to 1990. Since retirement Peter spent many happy hours working in his shop, solving crosswords and doing jigsaw puzzles. He was a familiar sight on his daily walks in the community, was an avid reader, and enjoyed music, travel, golf and nature. His feline and canine buddies Juliette and Chula held a special place in his heart.
Peter loved life and was completely devoted to his family. A farm boy at heart, he was a friend to everyone, a true gentleman, and was loved by all who knew him. He was a beautiful man and will be profoundly missed.
A private remembrance for Peter will be held at a later date.
