Tribute
Robert (Bob) Maurice Yolland, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack, BC with his loving wife by his side. For those that knew him, words cannot express the loss that we feel for a wonderful Husband, Dad and Grandpa.
Robert was born in Rossland, BC on March 8, 1935 and was married to Joan Yolland (Peebles) July 22, 1961. They celebrated 56 years of marriage just over a week prior to his passing.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife and best friend Joan. He was extremely proud of his two children – his son, R. Todd Yolland and his daughter-in-law Sandra of Agassiz, BC; his daughter Tracy Yolland and son-in-law Larry Bond of Cloverdale, BC. He had two beautiful granddaughters, Mackenzie and Karsen Yolland that were the apple of his eye. He is also survived by his sister Margaret and husband John Mowatt of Vernon, BC; Uncle Jack Yolland of Castlegar, BC and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Robert is predeceased by parents Thompson and Marion Yolland of Abbotsford, BC (formerly Rossland, BC) and brothers George Yolland of Swift Current, SK; Ross Yolland of Calgary, AB; and youngest brother Douglas Yolland of Lethbridge, AB.
At Robert’s request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the BC Cancer Society or Hospice of your choice. The family of Joan, Todd, Sandra, Mackenzie, Karsen, Tracy and Larry wish to thank the Palliative Care team and Cascade Hospice in Chilliwack that made their husband, father and grandfather’s final days very peaceful.
Dad, we love you and will miss you so very much.
