With great sadness we announce the passing of Rudie, he passed away in the Langley Hospital were he spent his last 6 months with dementia. Survived by his loving wife Annie , married for 59 years , daughter Ingrid, son Johnny, grandchildren, Ilona (Raymond, ) Rocco, Melvin and Michelle and grand-granddaughter Femke.Rudie was born in Enchede the Nederlands and Immigrated with his wife Annie and daughter Ingrid to Canada in 1981. Rudie’s greatest passion was his racing pigeons , when he came to Canada he brought with him 42 of his most famous and valuable birds . He was an avid player and a proud sportsman , he played in the Surrey Racing , Fraser Valley Pigeon Club and the North Road Club.A special thanks for all the nurses at the Langley hospital staff who looked after Rudy.There will be no service at Rudie’s request- In lieu of flowers, a donation to charity of your choice, or the Alzheimer’s association.
