Roger Emile Beaulieu
January 23, 1945 - August 19, 2025
Tribute
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Roger, born January 23, 1945 in New Westminster and passed away August 19, 2025 in Langley.
Known as “Big Rog”, Dad, Grampa and Great Papa and for the word “Jesuuuus”, he was a pioneer of Langley and attended school and worked on his family’s dairy farm (currently known as the The Michaud House), as well as haying the family farm and many others in Langley and surrounding areas.
As a young, newly married man (Eileen), he continued working the farm as well at McDonald Cedar in Fort Langley for several years while raising sons Dean and Randy until a work accident shifted his focus.
Roger continued haying and in the winter time took on the job of snow removal for local businesses and became the co-owner of Langley Texaco with Bob Bakker (now deceased), finalizing with Murrayville Auto. During this time he remarried to Charlene and added RJ and Colette to the family. Roger was a hard worker in all aspects, making life long friendships. He loved his family and friends dearly, as well as his tractors (big and small). We have so many stories and memories to share – too many to put on paper.
Missing him dearly are his children: Randy (Lisa), RJ (Amber) and Colette (Brian); 8 grandchildren: Isaac (Jessica), Raachel, Vonn, Mela, Char, Lyra, Teilar and “little Rog”; great grandchildren Linnea and Emmitt and siblings George (Irene), Victor (Donna) and Yvonne. Roger was predeceased by parents Philippe and Marcelle, son Dean (1989) and wife Charlene (2006).
Thank you to all the amazing medical staff that tended to Dad over the years, along with family and friends for your support.
We love you Dad! Rest Well!

To Rogers’s extended family
It was with great sadness to hear of Rogers passing. We have lost one of Langley’s true historians. Roger, Char, RJ and Colette were neighbours for many years, however I never really got to know Roger until we moved away from the area. That was when I would stop in for a visit as it was the half way point on my bike route. We would then talk about the old days in Langley and talk about the people we knew and how things had changed, for the better or worst. I will miss our visits. Our thoughts are with you at this time.
