Ruth Rudnisky (Andreef)

Tribute
Ruth Rudnisky (nee Andreeff) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Ruth, youngest daughter of John and Anna Andreeff was born on the farm near Gage, Alberta. On May 29, 1952 she married Joseph Rudnisky and moved to BC. In 1968, with their four children, they settled on a small farm in Mt. Lehman.
Mom stayed at home to raise the children and enjoyed gardening, canning, baking and cooking. For many years she baked Christmas goodies and every family received a large container full. We always looked forward to this.
It was while they lived here that Joe was seriously injured and forced into early retirement.
Once the children were grown Mom began to work outside of the house. They loved to take their motorhome out and travel Canada, Mexico and National Parks throughout the USA. They enjoyed camping and fishing with friends. Mom usually caught the most fish and then prepared them to everyone’s delight.
Her husband Joe passed away in 2002 and in 2004 Gramma moved into a townhouse. She joined a gym and made some wonderful friends. Mom’s (Gramma’s) life has left us all with many wonderful memories. She will be missed dearly.
Ruth is predeceased by her husband Joseph and daughters Pat and Debbie. She is survived by her sons Thom and Colleen and Doug and Susan; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.

Over the years I enjoyed once a week phone calls with Aunt Ruth. She used to talk about camping and fishing with Uncle Joe. She enjoyed going to the gym with friends and having coffee afterwards. She is missed.
