Sharon Ann Schiebel
December 5, 1949 - May 31, 2017
Tribute
From our loving arms to God’s. Sharon lost a long and courageous battle against cancer on May 31st. Sharon was an amazing, loving woman. In her life, it was God first, then family, then every other living thing on earth. She was devoted to her faith, did everything she could to love and support her family and friends and was dedicated to saving and looking after many critters that passed her way. Sharon had a variety of jobs throughout her life, but most of her career was spent driving school bus. She cared deeply for the kids she transported to and from school and years later would reminisce fondly about some of the funny or endearing antics of her charges. She loved nature and would enjoy going on adventurous hikes, camping with family and even did the Bowron Lakes tour. Sharon revelled in the beauty of things around her: from the first smiles of her grandchildren, to Mother Nature’s wonders, to the sparkle of glassware that she collected and admired with great enjoyment. Sharon had a delightful wit and always enjoyed a good laugh. She was a rock in a storm when those around her needed her. She would try to give friends and family anything she could to make their lives better. She was a good parent: loving, practical, firm, understanding, but mostly loving. All three of her sons reflect her kindness and caring. She was enthralled with her grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with them, showing infinite patience and interest in them and enveloping them always in her love. She was an incredible mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She had friendships that were almost half a century long and her friends and family adored her. Predeceased by her parents Robert & May Dillabough, Sharon is survived by her brother Bob (Karen), sons Ron (Cheryl), Wayne (Corinna), Blayne (Juno), grandchildren Taylor (Josh), Shane, Evan, Aliya and Amara and great-grandchildren Maddi and Buck. Her family and many friends are heartbroken, but comforted knowing she is now pain free and has made her way home.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday June 12th, 2:00 p.m. at the Christian Life Community Church, 35131 Straiton Road, Abbotsford.
In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to Abbotsford Hospice society or a charity of your choice.

Relation: friend and neighbour
My heart goes out to Sharon’s family at this very difficult time. Sharon was a neighbour of mine when we were both young mothers and lived on Meadows Street in (then) Clearbrook. I remember her fondly from those days. I sincerely wish that her beautiful life will give the family comfort as you reflect on those special memories you have shared.

Relation: Our son's bus driver
We remember Sharon fondly as she drove Richard to and from school on the wheelchair bus when he was a youngster. She even took him out on a few outings after work. A kind lady and I’m sure she had many stories of our son’s antics on the bus ie: hair pulling. So sorry for your loss.
