Tribute
passed away peacefully on April 13, 2011 into the presence of her Lord with her husband Olaf at her side. She will be missed by her son Gregory; daughter Monica (Bert) Boschmann; son Irwin (Christine); 4 grandsons Colton, Luke and Evan Boschmann and William Marcus; as well as Jim (Marge) Houweling; her 4 siblings Thea Kwantes, Rena Hamming, Laurence (Lena) Elzinga and Harold (Marcel) Elzinga and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by 2 brothers-in-law, John Kwantes and Peter Hamming. Sylvia was born October 30, 1933 in Coevorden, The Netherlands and came to Canada in 1951 with her family, settling in Pitt Meadows in 1952. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 19 at 1:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 35270 Delair Road, Abbotsford. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Menno Home, E1 and E2 for the care and kindness they gave to Sylvia.
