Thomas (Tom) Andrew Edwards
August 10, 1937 - September 15, 2025
Tribute
On September 15, 2025 Thomas (Tom) Edwards was taken home to heaven for his next assignment since he left his earthly body that day. Tom had really been blessed with a wonderful wife Carolyn for 60 years and now leaves his wife, Carolyn, daughter Tracy-Lynn and his special son-in-law Kim, his grandchildren Kari-Ana and Edyn and his great grandchild Alijah and unofficial grandchildren Yese, Evan, Aliya and Amara. He also leaves his brother Jim, sisters-in-law Esther, Hilary, Jeanine, Joyce and Karen along with many nieces and nephews.
Prior to his passing he lost his parents Joseph and Margaret, sister Alveeda and nephew JJ.
Tom’s love for his family was #1; besides his family his interests were varied but anything to do with horses was a high priority. He went on many mountain trails, covered wagon trails, cattle drives, branding and rode with the RCMP. He even had trained his own horse Gizmo.
Tom had many wonderful experiences in various Christian Volunteering; with the Roving Volunteers in Christ Service, going on Mission Trips to Cuba and visiting missionaries. He also volunteered at MCC Thrift Store and loved traveling to various countries as well as going to Rodeos.
For employment he worked with the deaf, social services, and was a distance driver of cars and trucks of various companies. God gave him a generous heart, as he was always ready to help anyone who needed assistance. He had many wonderful experiences here on Earth. Now the Lord has something else for him to do. He was ready to meet his Savior and Lord: Are You?
A celebration of life will be held on October 4, 2025 at 11 AM at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3580 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, BC.

I have only met your father/husband a number of times at church. He is the first one to greet me and the only one who remembered my name. I am so sorry for your loss but please know he has touched the lives of many. I only wish I could’ve made it to his service.
From: Esther Edwards
My sincere condolences to you Carrie and Tracey and the entire family. Tom was such a good man, who was fortunate to find his true sole mate. I’ll always remember his wonderful laugh and his kindness and his love and respect for his family. May all your memories help you through this difficult time.

Carolyn & Family,
We so enjoyed visiting with you and Tom whenever we met throughout the years. Tom always had a story to tell, a big smile, and a hug. Our sincere condolences, although Tom would say that he is exactly where he always wanted to be… with his Lord and Saviour.
