Tribute
Thomas Charles Laing, 84, of Aldergrove, BC passed away suddenly on February 6, 2017. Born September 16, 1932 in Saskatchewan, he is survived and dearly missed by his wife of 56 years Gwen (nee Brown), sons; Bob (Karyn), Jim, Joe (Joanne), Brian (Denyse), grandchildren; Christie, Derrick and Daniella, sisters; Beth Dillabough (Ivan) and Peg Fyke, brother Bruce Laing (Jocelyn), sister-in-law Marie Brown and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Tom was a talented wood worker and enjoyed spending time building in his workshop. He was also a handyman, gardener and musician and passed many of his skills on to his four sons. Gwen and the boys have fond memories of Tom playing the piano or guitar for family sing-a-longs.
Tom retired from Smith Plywoods at the age of 60 and it was there that he developed many long lasting friendships. He will forever be remembered for his integrity, generosity, hard work, and love for his family.
