Tina Wiebe (Wall)
January 3, 1924 - March 25, 2025
Tribute
After walking on this earth for some 101 years, our beloved mother Tina Wiebe passed into the presence of her Lord on March 25th, 2025. She was born on a farm near Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The 5th of 14 children, she was the daughter of Heinrick and Maria Wall.
In 1943 Tina married Jacob Wiebe and together they raised 5 children (Leona, Linda, Stanley, Janet, Gary). Times were tight after the Great Depression and WWII, and the couple moved to Alberta. Here Tina gave birth to the first 2 children. In 1946 they again moved westward, this time to Aldergrove, BC, hoping to improve their finances.
In BC the other 3 children were born, and Tina and Jacob decided it was time to attend a church. Tina had invited Jesus into her life at about age 6, and she now wanted her children to have an understanding of the faith.
After Leona & Linda were married, in 1967 Jacob & Tina moved back to Alberta.
They resided first in the Taber area, and later in Medicine Hat. When Jacob passed away in 1982, Tina needed to be strong for her family. She continued living in Alberta until her 3 children had all relocated to B.C.
In 1986 Tina purchased a townhouse in Abbotsford, BC, which remained her final residence. She joined her community church and gave much time to choir, bell ringing, Bible study. She was also a very gifted seamstress and donated her sewing, crocheting and quilts for people overseas. She volunteered at MCC and the Dialysis Clinic as well. Tina enjoyed having her family come home, serving them and playing games.
Tina was a resolute, diligent mother and a trustworthy friend. She is survived by 5 children, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Tina passed peacefully into the arms of her Saviour March 25, 2025. The family wishes to thank the staff at Trillium for their compassionate care.
At Tina’s request, there will not be a Celebration of Life. A private memorial gathering will be held by the family.
