Tribute

Tyler Ron Falk was born on April 13, 1998 in Abbotsford. He was the first of four children born to Ron and Christina with a younger sister, Mayci, and two younger brothers, Kolton and Luke.

Tyler attended Upper Sumas Elementary School and for high school he went to Yale. Tyler was an active teenager he especially enjoyed mountain biking and hockey. Tyler grew up in Arnold Community Church and got baptized there at the age of 17.

After high school Tyler went to Ontario for a year to play Junior A hockey. When he returned to Abbotsford he attended the University of the Fraser Valley. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2023 and was awarded the Dean’s Medal of Excellence for his outstanding academic performance.

Tyler started attending a Canadian-Romanian Baptist Church where he met his wife, Erika. They got engaged in October of 2022 and were married August 6, 2023. Tyler and Erika were serving as youth leaders up until Tyler got diagnosed with Leukemia.

Upon returning from their honeymoon, Tyler was diagnosed with T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on August 16, 2023. He battled this rare form of Leukemia for ten months until the Lord called him home on June 16, 2024 at 10:36 am.
