Vernon Earl Kembel

July 20, 1931 - March 12, 2020

Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Vern on March 12th, 2020.  After his brave fight with cancer he went to his heavenly home at the age of 88.  Vern is survived by Betty, his loving wife of 65 years and four sons; Randy (Julie), Jeff (Gertrude), Brad and warren.  Grampa was loved by 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Alexander and Minnie Kembel and seven siblings.  He was the seventh child in a family of eight and was born in Eugene, Missouri on July 20, 1931 while family who lived in Luseland, Saskatchewan were in the States visiting relatives there.  Vern had a keen interest in genealogy and the restoration of antiques.  Most important to him were his faith, family and friends.  May the Lord bless his memory among us.

Due to the present Coronavirus situation, the Funeral Service will be for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Canadian Lutheran World Relief or a charity of your choice.
