Tribute

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Wade Brownell, October 18, 2025 at the age of 36. Wade leaves to mourn him, his cherished daughters Milanna and Willow; His mother Dolores (Terry) Cass;  Sisters Melanie Brownell and Amber (Hans) Mulder along with nieces and nephew;  His grandparents Vicky (Steve) Boychuk, Norman  Sinclair and Gloria Cane, as well as extended family and friends. Wade was predeceased by his father Eugene in 2002.

Born and raised in Richmond and Abbotsford, B.C., Wade moved to Alberta in 2007 to work in the oil field industry. He purchased his first home at 19 years old in Grande Prairie Alberta.  Wade had a curious mind and a deep love of learning. He enjoyed reading about everything under the sun, nature to science, history, and the world beyond. He was always eager to learn and share what he discovered, often saying “what good is knowledge if you don’t pass it on.”

Wade had a passion for cooking and experimenting with new foods. He grew herbs and fermented various vegetables. Wade was always up for adventures and loved being out in nature. Not many knew he also had a fondness for peaceful music, such as Beethoven or Ludovico Einaudi, as well as other styles of contemporary music.

Wade had faith in our creator and often read his Bible. He particularly liked the Psalms.  He will be remembered for his quick little boy smile, generous heart and his warm presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
