Tribute
Our loving father Walter, passed peacefully into the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. He was predeceased by his wife Betty, only 9 months ago. Walter is survived by 4 children; Phil (Jan) Thiessen, Pat (Ted) Klassen, Rob (Diane) Thiessen, Marilyn (Dave) Lick, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a sister, Ann.
Walter’s Memorial Service will be held at the Clearbrook MB Church (corner of Clearbrook Rd & Old Yale Rd) in Abbotsford, BC, on November 14, 2014 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Fraser Valley Gleaners (www.fvgleaners.org) would be appreciated.

There was an announcement in the Willingdon church bulletin last Sunday that Walter had passed away. In reading the obituary, I saw that Betty had also passed away 9 months ago. I wanted to send my condolences, as I have fond memories of Walter and Betty! I lived in their basement in Burnaby one year, and they were the best landlords! And then they supported me for many years as I served in Mali, W. Africa, and I was always happy to visit with them while in Canada. I had lost touch with them lately, and missed seeing them. I will always remember their joyful love of life, and the encouragement they gave me along the way. They will be missed! May the Lord give much comfort to the family!

I was sorry to hear about the passing of your father. With both of your parents passing within 9 months, it must be very difficult. Our prayers are with you all.
