Tribute
Passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior, Sunday, September 1, 2019 at the aged of 98 at ARH.He was born May 12, 1921 in Ukraine, the 4th of 5 children to Johann and Katharina Dueck. In 1950 he married Anni Schellenberg in Germany. The following day they left for Paraguay. After 4 years, they immigrated to Canada with 2 young daughters and settled in the Fraser Valley where they farmed and had 3 more children. He is survived by his children; Christiane (Bob) Simmons, Uta (David) Hamilton, Reinhard (Haedy) Dyck, Annette (Walter) Siemens and Hans (Lisa) Dueck; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and other family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, siblings and his wife of 57 years. Memorial service will be held Monday, September 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Eben-Ezer Mennonite Church, 2051 Winsor Street, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Cyrus Centre would be appreciated.
