Tribute

Beth passed away peacefully, in Surrey, B.C., with Peter, her loving husband of 63 years at her side. Over the last two days, as her health deteriorated quickly, the family, including children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, surrounded her and radiated back the love that Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma had poured into their lives. Beth loved Jesus and served Him enthusiastically in numerous ways including her home church, Killarney Park M.B., Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Shops and lastly at Ten Thousand Villages that included offsite sales at Oakridge, Hycroft Manor and many other locations.  She is survived by her husband Peter, daughter Jane (Chuck) Ratzlaff, and three sons, Brad (Irene) Funk, Ross (Dori) Funk and Norm (Nicole) Funk. In addition, she is leaving behind 11 grandchildren, of whom six are married, and eight great grandchildren to carry on her life of generosity, hospitality and service. Beth is now reunited in heaven with her son Grant, who predeceased her at the age of three. She is survived by six siblings and predeceased by three. A special thank you goes out to the staff of Elim Village 2 North who cared for Beth so gently and lovingly the last few years and especially over the last three days of her life. A celebration of her life will take place at Killarney Park M.B. Church 6426 Kerr Street, Vancouver on Wednesday December 7th at 1:00 PM.
