Cora Pogue (Yokom)

Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cora Ann Pogue (Yokom). She will be missed by her brother Joe; daughter-in-law Paula; children Gordon, Bev (John), Barry (Cheryl) and Larry (Sue); grandchildren Everett, Lori, Katherine, Loretta, Laverne, Stacey, Charmaine, Trevor and Darren; step grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren and her niece Diayan Driedger. She is predeceased by her parents Melville and Augusta Yokom; brothers Mel Jr., Wilfred, John and Albert; sisters Florence, Lily, Alice and Violet, her son Armand Lamothe; great grandson Michael Lamothe Hardin and great granddaughter Braylee Alvina Rose Risdale. She moved from Shaunavon to Vancouver in 1975 and then to Surrey in 1980. From 1996 to 2001 she lived in Abbotsford but returned to Vancouver where she lived until 2015. She loved to do canning, baking and gardening. Her favorite flowers were fuchsias, pansies, petunias, geraniums, shamrocks and prayer plants. She was a very caring person and would help anyone in need.
