Born August 2, 1939 in Watrous, Saskatchewan, passed away April 15, 2021 in Abbotsford. Ernie is survived by his loving family; sons Ian and wife Norma and Keith and wife Christine; grandchildren; Sarah Motion (Adam), Amy (Eric), Cole and Olivia; and great grand children Claire and Cameron as well as his brother Walter and his family.
Due to the Covid Virus restrictions a gathering to celebrate Ernie’s life will be held at later date.

I’m so sorry to read of Ernies passing. I worked for Ernie for many years and learned a lot from him. He was generous to me and my family and I will always remember how well he treated me although we had our differences. My husband and I are saddened of his passing at such a terrible time.

Ian and Keith, very sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad.
Ernie and I had many great conversations at the restaurant when I would drop in working or on days off. He would always greet me by name and we would have a chat and a laugh. I always enjoyed those times.

I have known Ernie all my life. He held the distinction of being the oldest male grandchild of our shared grandfather. We spent many days and evenings together on the farm owned by Ernie‘s dad back in the day. One thing I remember about Ernie is that he started a tractor with a crank and broke his arm. Never forget that. Ernie was a great guy. I will always remember him fondly.
