passed away April 24, 2011 at the age of 59 years. She is survived by her loving family: husband Ted; sons Stephen and James; daughter Wendy; brother David Mollison and sister Evelyn Webb, both of Ontario. Freya was a loving aunt to Cheri, Kim, Sean, Michelle, Andrea, Colin and families and will be missed by many dear friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28 between 6 pm and 7 pm at Wiebe & Jeske Funeral Services, #202 – 31314 Peardonville Road, Abbotsford. The funeral service will take place Friday, April 29 at 1 pm at Bakerview Celebration Centre, 34863 Cemetery Avenue, Mission. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences to the family may be made to www.wiebeandjeskefh.com.

Relation: met through Mary Kay meeting
Freya and I met through Mary Kay and became friends. I visited her at her home a few times and though we haven’t seen each other in a few years I have thought of her often. I am saddened to hear of her passing and my heart goes out to her husband Ted and to her children. I will remember Freya always for her cheerfulness and her giving nature.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Freya was a big part of our daughter -Kyla’s life at Walnut Grove Secondary. It was a great pleasure for my husband and I to meet such a loving, caring and dedicated person who touched our heart along with many others.It was with great sadness to hear of her passing. Freya will be remembered always and her candle will never burn out in the Patterson house.

I have just learned of Freya s passing. She was such a wonderful person she will be missed. I have such wonderful memories. Our days in T.O. such fun and our wonderful talks since. She was just alwalys there, so encouring, suportative, caring and loving and never judgmental. Always found the good in every thing always. Her love for her family always filled me with joy. I am so sorry for you loss. We were all so lucky to have known her. She is now needed somewhere else, are they so lucky or what….
Poem: I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning brees and starts for the blue ocean. She is an objest of beauty and strength and I stand and watch her until at length she hangs like a speck of shite cloud just where the sea and the sky come to mingle with each other.
Then someone at my side says, There! Sheès gone! Gone from my sight, that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side, and she is just as able to bear her load of living weight to her destined port.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, There! She s gone! there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout. There she comes! And that is dying.
