Gordon passed away Oct 12, 2023 in Maple Ridge BC.
He was born Oct 18, 1940, in Vancouver BC. Predeceased by his wife Sue Cross (2020), daughter Diane
Stringfellow (2019) and granddaughter Danica Brusatore (2020).
He is survived by his brother Frank, sister Susan, children Leanne, Nick and Dawn, plus 8 grandchildren,
Ellissa, Reo, Amanda, Brittaney, Paige, Amanda, Chelsey, Christopher and 1 great grandchild Ivy. Also
close to his heart are his stepchildren, Andrew, Janine, Stephanie and Michael, plus their children
Zachary, Faren, Emily and Charlie.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Gordon was a skilled machinist, inventor and innovator, including holding
patents, he operated his own business and worked continuously until his retirement in 2012.
He had two beloved hobbies, fishing, which awarded him a few derby trophies, plus poker, which he
enjoyed both at the casino as well as friendly games at home with friends and family.
He will be cremated, and his ashes spread beside his wife’s.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, donations to the BC Cancer Society would be appreciated.
A memorial will be held November 4, 2023, from 3-7pm, at 7662 Cedar Street, Mission BC. Poker
playing will be encouraged as well as toasting his memory with whiskey.
