Tribute

ROBERT SIMPSON
May 14th, 1931 – October 16th, 2018
Bob passed suddenly, but peacefully, in the Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre, at the age of 87. Although he will be dearly missed by all those he left behind, we know he has gone to be with the love of his life, Ann, who predeceased him in 2013. Bob was also predeceased by his 9 siblings. Survived by his 7 children Gary (Elsie), Linda, Robert (Donna), Barb (Ian), Bev (Doug), Bill (Yvonna), and Dan (Tavona), as well as 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Bob will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a devoted husband and father, a ‘Funny’ Grampa, and a man of many sayings. Bob was a hard worker, giving 26 years of service to the Municipality of Matsqui (1968-1994).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 10th at the Legacy Sports Centre (32470 Haida Dr., Abbotsford, BC), beginning at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in Bob’s name, as this was a cause that he and Ann supported for many years.
